Per The Hollywood Reporter, writer-director Zach Braff has joined the cast of “Moonshot.” Braff will play the “entrepreneur and visionary” behind the mission to colonize Mars; the name of his character is currently unknown. Braff, who gained prominence as an actor on “Scrubs” before venturing into directing, most recently appeared in 2020’s “The Come Trail” alongside Robert De Niro and Morgan Freeman. His recent directorial endeavors include an episode of the Amazon Prime series “Solos,” as well as an episode of the popular Apple TV+ show “Ted Lasso,” the latter of which he just received an Emmy nomination for.
Several other supporting cast members have also been announced, including “Love, Victor” and “Euphoria” actor Lukas Gage and Emily Rudd of Netflix’s recent “Fear Street” trilogy. The cast is rounded out by Sunita Deshpande (“Daredevil”), Davey Johnson (“Santiago”), and fellow “Love, Victor” actor Mason Gooding.
We can’t wait to find out more about HBO Max’s “Moonshot.”
