According to ComicBook.com, production on “Black Adam” was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, much like several other films. Fortunately for fans, The Rock recently took to Instagram to finally share a lengthy, heartfelt caption and video announcing that filming is officially wrapped. “Honored and proud to say that’s an official wrap on BLACK ADAM,” The Rock wrote before revealing why “Black Adam” is such a huge deal for the seasoned actor.
“I knew many years ago, the opportunity for me to make BLACK ADAM would be a ONCE IN A CAREER EVENT. It has been my true honor to go shoulder to shoulder with over 1,000 brilliant and hungry crew of filmmakers and storytellers to bring the antihero known as, BLACK ADAM to life. This has been one for the ages and easily the hardest labor and toughest grind mentally and physically of my entire career. Worth. Every. Second.”
In the video he shared with the announcement, The Rock further showed his appreciation for the cast and crew by giving away a cash prize totaling $10,000 to three winners. The excitement for the wrapping of “Black Adam” is palpable in the sweet video, and the future of the DCEU has many great things ahead.
