When speaking to TVLine ahead of his superhero debut, Jordan Fisher revealed how Bart Allen shakes things up for Team Flash, as well as explaining what makes him different from Barry, Nora, and all the other speedsters we’ve seen so far. The star pointed out that “he has the most style of all the speedsters, he’s got the most flair, he’s got the moves.” Fisher also added, “He’s the only one who is parkouring off of stuff… It’s all fun for Bart.” It sounds like the young hero has a completely different outlook on having superpowers, unlike his Dad, Barry, who is well aware of the weight they carry.
The time travel element in “The Flash” does provide some unique character dynamics. The audience has yet to see Barry and Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) settle down with kids, so it’s fascinating to learn what their family life will look like in the future. According to Jordan Fisher, Bart Allen is “a momma’s boy. At the end of the day, that’s what he is.” The actor also explained that Bart is the “annoying little brother” to Nora, but that they’re “siblings first before they are superheroes.”
Although there’s a lot going on in Central City in the lead-up to the Season 7 finale, Fisher explained that as a group, they “get to really mess around with what this dynamic is like as a family.” But it sounds like there’s secrets being kept from the present day Team Flash, as the star pointed out that “anybody that comes from the future is going to have information that we do not,” while also noting that it’s “very important that those people keep what needs to be a secret a secret, so as to not affect the timeline.” There’s still plenty of excitement on the way for “Flash” fans.
